 Clay surface for all seasons, exclusively from Maton Sports!

An exclusive Maton Sports brand, the strength of the FRENCH COURT surface lies in a stability carpet weighted with sand, in the color of clay, composed of a layer of rot-proof fibers and topped with an untreated clay layer. Thanks to its very specific composition, this layer ensures stability and impermeability. Watering is truly necessary.

The specific structure of the FRENCH COURT offers clear qualities of flexibility, slide, and ball bounce. It provides comfortable play on this stable and level surface, with excellent line visibility. Regardless of unpredictable weather, the FRENCH COURT is characterized by its high water absorption capacity before it infiltrates the foundation. Additionally, it is frost-resistant.

Installed directly on a stable base, preferably an absorbent layer, exclusive to Maton Sports, for its water retention and support qualities, preventing the court from drying out and deteriorating during periods of severe drought. The special French Court clay, manufactured within our company, is less brittle than conventional clay and ensures that the court does not compact.

  • ground : synthetic carpet.
  • 1st layer : washed and dried silica sand (round) without glauconite, with a grain size of 0.4 - 0.8 mm, at a rate of 21kg/m².
  • 2nd layer : specific FRENCH COURT clay, approximately 7 kg/m².

The French Court surface requires frequent maintenance and watering to maintain its key characteristics. Maintenance is carried out in three main phases:

Spring : cleaning the court, add Special French Court brick if necessary, moss treatment.

Regular maintenance : use the drag net after each session on the court, moss treatment as soon as the moss appeared, water regularly.

Winter : moss treatment, flush the irrigation system.
